REPAIRS & RESTORATIONS
Customary repairs and extensive restorations are undertaken in our onsite workshop, and we also offer a bow rehairing service.
We pride ourselves on carrying out craftsmanship of the highest quality, using traditional tools and methods, conserving as much original material and varnish as possible, using discreet and reliable techniques. T.A.Craig is an approved repairer for the Benslow Music Trust and Allianz Musical Insurance.
BUYING
Our constantly changing stock offers a good selection of both new and antique violins, violas, cellos and bows to suit players of every budget and ability. We are pleased to offer advice when choosing an instrument or bow and are experienced in helping make a good match for the musician.
Each instrument we sell is thoroughly examined in our workshop to ensure it is in perfect working order, and includes our own personal guarantee.
SELLING
We can often help customers rehome their instrument or bow by adding it to our stock on a commission sale basis. This is providing it is in good condition, or the owner is prepared for any necessary repair work to be undertaken, ensuring the item meets our required standards for sale
Alternatively, we can potentially purchase the instrument directly ourselves if preferred.
VALUATIONS
T.A.Craig is a registered consultant for Allianz musical insurance. We are able to offer a written valuation service for insurance purposes.
